Tour of Utah Camp
September 25th - October 1st
Take a good, hard look at your summer calendar. Inevitably it’s probably filled with races, personal obligations and enough training hours to fill whatever time you have left to spare. Forget about a vacation unless it means traveling somewhere for a race, training or towing your bike. But here’s a worthy reason to skip town this September and ride with Robbie at the same time: the Tour of Utah.

Robbie Ventura is teaming up with Gordo Byrn and Endurance Corner coaching to offer this camp to VQ athletes that kicks off September 25 and runs through October 1. You’ll get to work on your fitness and bike endurance while experiencing some of the finest parts of southern Utah and Nevada—and spending a few days pedaling alongside Robbie and Gordo, two people many would love to ride with. You’ll travel point-to-point through Utah and Nevada checking out some of the greatest National Parks in the country and some of the area’s top race courses. Here are some highlights of the itinerary:
  • Preview the Silverman bike course
  • Experience The Valley of Fire in the Nevada desert
  • Ride, or run, Zion National Park
  • Visit Bryce Canyon National Park
  • Ride, or run, Capitol Reef National Park
  • Check out Utah’s Snow Canyon
  • The camp finishes by topping out above 10,000 feet offering views into Cedar Breaks National Park
For the cyclists, you’ll have plenty of riding miles under your belt coupled with enough scenic vistas to keep you pedaling from start to finish. For the triathletes, you’ll get your riding plus you can mix it up with runs through the national parks and at least two swims at the Ironman St. George site. If you’re signed up for the 2011 race, or have considered adding it to your future competition calendar, you’ll experience it first-hand and get the one-up on knowing the terrain.

Forget going bonkers looking for a gym, searching for bike rentals or routes, or sneaking off to work out. In essence, you’ll get your vacation with your training included. And you can get your R&R in Las Vegas where the Tour starts and ends. Not a bad way to skip town and check out of the office.

And it can be yours for $2,500, which includes everything but your flight to and from Las Vegas. You want to arrive on September 24 for camp to kick off early the next morning and you want to book a flight home no earlier than 2 p.m. on Friday, October 1. These spots will fill quickly so reserve yours with a $500 deposit, then a payment of $1,000 is due by June 30 and the remaining balance due by August 30. Your training legs will thank you for the extra saddle time as the temperatures cool back at home.

Can't get away for that long? New to this year is a 4 day option where you will arrive on September 24th and return home after 4 days of riding on Wednesday, September 29th. This option is available for the low cost of $1785
