About Robbie Ventura
|
 |
|
Owner and hands-on coach, Robbie Ventura, has established Vision Quest Coaching so that every person can achieve true health and fitness and reach his or her athletic goals.
|
 |
Robbie Ventura raced professionally for 12 years, spending his last four years as part of Lance Armstrong's U.S. Postal squad. Robbie was a criterium specialist and amassed over 70 victories over the course of his pro career. He also rode the Track World Championships in Hamar, Norway and placed 5th in the elimination. Robbie has been racing competitively on the dirt, road and track since the age of 7 and has over 25 years of racing experience.
Robbie graduated with honors from Lake Forest College with a double-major in Business and Psychology. He started Vision Quest Coaching in April of 2000, and the success of his athletes has helped VQ to grow to more than four locations, 30+ coaches and hundreds of athletes. Robbie and his team of coaches work with all types of endurance athletes: from weekend warriors and Ironman age-groupers, to world-class competitors. Under Robbie's guidance Vision Quest was recently named the official coaching service of TREK Travel and additional initiatives are in the works to provide a national platform committed to creating better athletes. In the most aggressive expansion to date, Robbie is a partner in a 14,000-square foot facility that will not only house a state-of-the-art Vision Quest Performance Center, but a
TREK Concept Store
as well.
Robbie helped produce and star in
Race Day
, which is one of the nation’s leading training DVDs on the market. In conjunction with Saris Cyclops, Robbie has also helped produce and star in the latest release in the Race Day series,
POWER
, and is currently working on two more editions. He has done commercials and print work for Nike and USPS, and made his commentating debut on OLN (now Versus) during the 2006 Tour de France alongside Al Trautwig and Bob Roll. Robbie was back in front of the Versus camera for the Tour de France in 2007 in an expanded role and is excited to increase his
presence at the 2008 event
.
Robbie's passion for helping others and love of cycling has allowed him to do what he loves for a living:
Ride his bike!
When not riding, Robbie loves playing hockey, golf, wakeboarding and skiing, and especially spending time with his wife, Lori, and their four children: Luna, Enzo, Luciana and Rocky.
