Session Details
Climbing Series: Week of February 27th through the week of April 16th
Location: Vision Quest Chicago – 1880 W Fullerton Ave, Chicago, IL 60614
Cost of the 8-week session: $165
The first of the year marks the return to focused training for many athletes. While the overall structure of training is increasing, we are still far from the need to train race specific demands. The primary goal will be developing cycling-specific strength, which is done through a combination of short and long intervals performed with high tension and low cadences. We refer to the long intervals at Strength Endurance intervals, or SE’s, and the shorter efforts as Strength Endurance Pops, or SE Pops.

“Going Long” Cycling Classes
Are you looking for additional riding time on your bike to complement your Taste of VQ intensity rides? If so, then VQ’s new Going Long rides are right for your training needs.
Open to athletes of all riding abilities, the VQ Going Long rides will allow you to ride a unique course every week during designated times where you can work on your endurance, cadence, and other cycling skills as you ride for a 2 hour duration. These rides are designed to complement your Taste of VQ intensity rides and will strengthen your cycling abilities and prepare for your upcoming race season.
If you have early season races, this is a great opportunity to get in your long rides during the winter, practice your nutrition and overcome the boredom from riding on your trainer at home.

“Pay As You Go” Cycling Classes
Vision Quest Coaching is very excited to announce a new way you can participate in VQ workouts with the “Pay As You Go” Class!
What is a “Pay As You Go” Class?
There are two different options for the “Pay As You Go” class.
Option 1: The same 75 minute intensity bike workout that you would get at a Taste of VQ class
Option 2: A 75 minute indoor bike ride at your own pace where we will have a course for you to ride at the intensity level of your choosing.
Who is the “Pay As You Go” Class For?
The “Pay As You Go” class is for anyone who has taken a Taste of VQ session and knows their threshold power number and unable to participate in the Taste of VQ at the same day and time each week but would like to get the Taste of VQ workout in from time to time.
Where Can You Participate in a “Pay As You Go” Class?
“Pay As You Go” classes will be available at both VQ Chicago (great opportunity to check out our new location!) and VQ Highland Park
Why Take a “Pay As You Go” Class?
It’s all about flexibility! For those of you who have taken a Taste of VQ and understands the training process at Vision Quest, this is a great opportunity for you to get a Vision Quest workout in without the commitment of the 8-week session.
How Much Does a “Pay As You Go” Class Cost?
We have several different “Pay As You Go” punch cards available:
1 Ride Punch Card – $25
5 Ride Punch Card – $110
10 Ride Punch Card – $200

Mondays – 5:30pm
Tuesdays – 8:45am, 7:30pm
Wednesdays – 5:30am
Thursdays – 6:00pm
Fridays – 5:30am
How To Schedule Your “Pay As You Go” Class
- Go to our registration website
- Check the schedule and class availability
- Click the “Sign Up Now” button for the class you’d like to attend
- Login to the registration system
- Select either a single reservation or a recurring reservation if you would like to sign up for more than one class
- Choose the punch card package of your choice
- Click the “Make Purchase” button
- Check out and you are all set!
What To Bring To Class
Your bike, 2 waterbottles, a trainer skewer, cycling clothing and shoes and the desire to get a great workout in!
Taste of VQ: Endurance Swim
No one will deny the benefits of swimming, regardless of age, body type or ability. But if you’re in it for the long haul, then you know that swimming isn’t just about how far you swim in a workout, but also about how far you go per stroke. The more confidence you can give yourself, the better off you’ll be.
Take this opportunity to build your endurance for longer, stronger swims! Introducing Taste of VQ: Endurance Swim. Join these coached workouts with some of the best coaches in the area.
Benefits of the Taste of VQ Endurance Swim include:
* Maintaining your focus on thinking and being a swimmer, not just swimming because the “plan” says so
* Learning to concentrate on power, heart rate, average speed as quantifiable by pace, send-off, splits, etc.
* Enhancing the overall swim experience from simply thinking about doing the stroke correctly and number of laps swum
Our Taste of VQ Endurance Swim program has been modified to be more flexible to your schedule. We now have two options available for you to choose from:
Monthly Membership
For $50 a month, you will have access to swims twice a week, renewable online at the start of each month.
Classes are offered on Mondays and Thursdays at Northside College Prep from 8:00-9:30 PM.

Individual Sessions
If your schedule does not allow you to consistently swim every month, you can pay $10 for each workout you come to. All you have to do is show up, sign in with a coach and pay for your workout upon arrival.
